FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHEN DO I NEED A POOL SAFETY CERTIFICATE?
You will need a certificate if you are selling or leasing a property with a pool. If you don't supply this when selling then you will have to disclose this in the sale contract and the buyer will need to get one within 90 days.

HOW LONG IS THE CERTIFICATE VALID FOR?
Two years.

CAN I GET A POOL CERTIFICATE IF MY POOL ISN'T REGISTERED WITH THE QLD GOVERNMENT?
No, your pool will need to be registered before a certificate can be issued. You may also be liable for a fine as pool registration is mandatory. We will register your pool when we process your pool safety certificate.

CAN YOU CARRY OUT REPAIRS TO MY POOL BARRIER TO MAKE IT COMPLIANT?
No, we can't but we may be able to recommend a local handyman or builder who can. This avoids a conflict of interest.

HOW LONG DOES THE INSPECTION TAKE?
Approximately 45 minutes depending upon the size of the pool and number of pool gates.

ARE YOU QUALIFIED AND INSURED?
Yes, I am registered with the QBCC under licence no. 102174 and the company has professional indemnity and liability insurance in line with government requirements. Details can be provided upon request. You can also search for our licence on the QBCC Pool Safety Inspector register. ABN 42447692446
